Apelon is pleased to announce availability of DTS Version 4.2.0. This release highlights improved subset performance and new functional capabilities. New DTS Editor features include:

o An “All Namespaces” option on the Namespace Subset Filter. This filter option allows subordinate filters such as the Concept Name Filter or Property Filter to be applied across all Namespaces in the DTS Knowledgebase.

o Configurable Subset Preview. Concepts displayed in the Subset Preview panel can now be displayed with a primary sort of either Concept Name or Concept Namespace. This feature has been added to support preview of multi-namespace Subsets.

o Namespace and Subset Profiles. Profiles are lists of Synonym, Property and Association type names that can be automatically added when Namespaces and Subsets are created. It is not necessary to add the types separately through the Attribute Editor. Both User (specific to a single user) and System (available to all users) Profiles are supported.

o DTS Module Manager. The DTS Module Manager is a new Module that enables the loading, updating, and removal of DTS Editor User Modules with minimal user intervention. The Module Manager accesses User Module information, and installation kits, from an Internet-accessible Module Folder. An Editor Module Manager panel lists all available Modules and supports Add, Update, and Remove Module actions. The DTS Module Folder is typically maintained by Apelon on behalf of all DTS installations, but organizations can create and maintain their own Module Folder in order to limit Module availability or add organization-specific Modules. See the Maintaining a Module Manager Facility guide for further information on hosting your own Module Folder.

DTS Version 4.2.0 is available from the downloads page. For further information on the release, see the revised Release Notes on the Documentation page, or watch for Dr. DiTS' new 4.2 demonstration video on Apelon’s YouTube channel.

    Good day!

I am Dr. Patrick Sylim, an implementer in the Philippines.

Will DTS Editor 4.2 work with DTS Server app 4.1? The reason I ask is that we have a process we need to undertake to update applications in government-owned servers, and it may take a long time to do so.

    Thank you!

    Dr. Sylim,

Apologies for the delay in responding. In general, the answer is no. There are often additions made to the Editor that rely on new server capabilities.

We do not test compatibility of the editor and server across versions.
